@mick the 1st spotted raphael i got was about 2 years ago and i jus fell in love with it-was so interesting to watch-whenever i seen it that is! lol! Friday is the 1st time ive seen them since and just had to get another 2 juvies! is there any way to tell the difference between the male and females? am i still right in thinking they have still never been bred in captivity yet?

Hi Rick Spotted talking catfish afaik are unsexable (i would guess tho that females are plumper like most cats) and have never been bred in captivity however there are reports of them being bubblenest builders..

@drew from what ive read i thought that was the case! guess nobody has ever found out how to makes the conditions just right for them to breed! they are so shy-really wouldnt know they were in the tank apart from an odd unexpected appearance from them! when the big 1 comes out and digs in the sand well what a mess! are these something you will have in the new shop drew?

Ah yeh them and lots of others... there is quiet a big family of armoured/talking cats.. yep when we get a few shipments under our belts we will have a massive range of catfish... we are going to stock all the usual and the less often seen species... anything your looking for in particular?
