my first salty tank

Hi guys not long ago there I got my first ever marine tank and it was in very bad shape so I hit the books and after a few weeks tlc I have managed to recover it pretty well, I have added nothing but two fish to the tank so everything in the second picture is also in the first one but just wasn't in great shape I am also now converting my big tank to saltwater which will be around 450l including the sump :) here's a befor and after

Thanks everyone I was feeling like king dick I must admit haha couldn't believe the beauty of some of the things in the tank when it was straightened up but have to admit this pesky aiptasia is a nuisance lol

That's such a difference a credit to ya. What did you do to get it that way, as we've got some live rock at the moment that's a bit manky looking and needs cleaned up but im afraid to mess around with it incase im doing more harm than good ?

Hi guys sorry I haven't been about for a while unfortunately due to finding out we have an other little baby on the way I have packed up and took a step back from the hobby so no longer have any tanks but do hope to make a return when the times right. And mac all I did was focus on the water qaulity as the nitrates and phosphate were to too high and salinity was too high also so I added rowaphos to a filter sock and put this in behind the intake af the wier box and agitated it every three days to combat phosphates, I added active carbon which I changed every week which helped with nitrates and slowly over the coarse of a few weeks dropped salinity from 1.030 to 1.025 and adjusted the flow of the powerhead and because the tank was only small I did two 10% water changes a week but once the water was good and corals were placed properly everything sorted itself out :)

Just goes to show what a bit of TLC can do and as i said before a real credit to you. It has to be the best transformation of a tank i have seen in a long time.
