Go on the Lee. 2poc has a great group of these. Serious fish when they blacken up and show off their white spots. Headerballs too. Great pic man.

Cheers mick. This one was living in a sump for a while cause somebody tore him up in previous owners tank. I had seen a breeding pair in seahorse and they were crackers. I am trying to grow these guys on all around same size so aggression isn 't too bad. Then its time for the custom tank

2poc *had* a fantastic group of these.
Long story.. The ones in seahorse were mine.
This looks like a small spot polleni Lee, mine were large spot (bleekeri). They are fantastic fish, good luck with him.
Plenty of meaty food like prawns and whitebait and they will be huge in no time.

Re: Madagascar polleni
Not keeping as much as I'd like these days Lee. I'm travelling a bit with work so hard to commit to lots of tanks/fish.
I've some nice peacock bass/catfish/characins/cichlids at the mo and they're keeping me occupied.
Aggression-wise I found them fine towards other fish but hard on each other. I had about 10 of them together and had to reduce the group to around 7 once they hit 4 inches as some of the subdominant males were getting a hard time. I really enjoyed keeping them, will definitely own them again at some stage.
Once they settle in and go jet black they're very striking..

Re: Madagascar polleni
Thanks guys i am going to try keep just single species of each as when pairs form the aggression would be too much. Its a big ask to have a community tank with these guys but fingers crossed it works
