Spawning Kelberi Peacock Bass

These guys have finally done the business.. They have been going through the motions for months, I thought they must have been two males but they laid a nice batch of eggs today.

They have been busy hammering every other fish in the tank ever since...

Cheers guys, I plan to remove the eggs once I have wrigglers assuming they last that long.
Might be easier said than done, the male must be 14 inches long and currently attacks the glass if I even look at him..

You have life insurance right?? If not, best take some out. I might need you to take a look at my toaster while you're catching the fish, it'd be terrible if it fell into the tank while your arm was in there..

Unfortunately the eggs weren't viable.. I think it was due to having a power head right over the spawning site.. I'll know for next time..
Bought myself a group of orino bass and a group of C. Myersi to cheer me up! :)

The new group are super tiny, i'd need a macro lens  Keeping baby peacock bass is a challenge, gotta feed them lots or they fade away.
I put this new group into a 400 litre tank, it must feel like a swimming pool to them!

They look amazing and if they did it once they'll do it again. So Patrick you've around 3 weeks to get the fry tank ready, make sure it a big tank
