Got the male in Dublin and female came from south Tipperary lucky enough
i only had to travel into the south side of the city at night so it was a handy pick up
and my father went half way and picked up the female that left me with only 30 mile trip home.
Hopefully i have them in 5 ft tank once its cycled.
not having much luck the tank is being pain in the hole with problem after problem but i get there soon
and have it up and running.

not great photos but you can see the red coming through in the female once they breed she will turn pure red and yellow and black lines

Thanks Kelly
how are you these days ?

I am trying out something different from keeping the malawi and haps and peacocks
I am at the stage now where the kids need 24/7 attention so its hard to keep the African tank perfect
the new setup is in my room which is now called the fish room by my kids so its away from everyone and bit easier to keep.

here is new update

Thanks they are getting better looking by the day. it took some work getting them settled in and the male was scared shitles of the food being thrown in.
I dont mean i was being bad i would have small hand full of pellets and drop them in but he go into hiding and not eat.
i found out the last owner was terrible cruel to him over killing other fish not the male fault it was wrong setup and very small african cichlids
some tlc and he is back to himself

here is update

I am having terrible time with fish keeping at the minute between tanks getting broken and my young lad
throwing in all sorts of food into the tank and he even managed to get paint into another tank i locked the door to keep him out and
i had the window open for fresh air and he goe in the window he was playing out side one minute then in the room the text doing harm.
lol i can laugh now but the things he does are unreal and it all happens in matter of seconds
