These fish are beasts. Strong, dominant and they get big. Remind a bit lilke flowerhorns, psychos in manner. Actually flowerhorns are worse. They will move evrything around in the tank. Never kept but would definitely like to keep im a big tank with nothing else in there.

Someone was trying to sell me one of these last week, said it was an oscar and that he got it from grovesnor and they told him it was an oscar.
I've seen these bad boys in action and the damage they can do.

had them while they were young but seen the changes starting in them and had to move them on aswell lovely fish doh thumbs up

have a buttikoferi about 12" and growing quite fast,gets on grand with ca,s deffinately one of my favourite cichlids

Had one of these in my five foot. Nearly killed my red spotted severum. That was a big no no. Very agressive an dominant fish. So back to the lfs he went, probably to torment some unsuspecting fishkeeper! Denis

picked up another butti about a foot long,only been a few days but is getting on with the other one ok fingers crossed
