Heros Notatus with fry.

These are a pair of wild Heros Notatus that I got about 2 months ago. The eggs hatched yesterday and they are with fry in this picture.

Nice one Sean. Are you the only one in this country with F1 fry from these heros?
Great job in gettin these to breed. How ling did ye have them before they bred successfully?

I'd imagine there isn't too many knocking around.
We received (FinsFurFeathers) six of these from Aquarium Glaser about two months ago. I sold what looked like a pair to a lad in Sligo. I haven't heard from him since. I took the other four home to see if I could get a pair from them.
I found that the difference between males and females is not as obvious as with other Heros. About two weeks ago I noticed a pair was forming. I was surprised to see eggs there on Sunday as they are still quite small. I removed the other fish at this stage. The eggs hatched yesterday or late on Thursday.
They are on their own in a 325L tank.

Temp: 27 degrees.

First timers as well, i noticed on another forum some were saying more than likely they wouldn't make it. Great to hear fry hatched for you man
