For a 1st tank your better going for guppies, platies and mollys thumbs up

Stay away from guppies for a while. First few fish in should be zebra danios then some cardinal tetras, rummy nose tetras and then platies.

I have a pair of rosy barbs that have survived everything! bullet proof can even make it in cold water (19°) i have had them through a serious out break of white spot that killed everything else in the tank about a year ago and have kept them with my juvenile cichlids and even in with the goldfish at one stage.
