Showin some great colour already Lee. How long is the fish in the tank in them pics?

Only in there a few hrs Mick. They should have a really blue face as its a female and they show more colours than the males. Going to add some brown sand later so might colour uo bit more they are diggers.

Carlow natural river sand Lee. Its quite special stuff. Only made in Carlow eh.

Lee real nice fish ,I had a great pair for a couple of years until he suddenly took the hump and killed her . I got rid of him shortly after that. Might get myself 6 or so young again . I have a great video of the pair getting ready to spawn , unfortunatly its on my old phone and I cant upload it but I can text it to you if you are intrested

Cheers Paul the texas and nicaraguan are having a good scrap for territory last few days. I added a small salvini today so hopefully he will grow on a bit quicker.

Lovely fish with a big attitude. Ours was the only fish we ever named and we called her bitch and she lived up to her name.

Just flicking through the forum and noticed this and if im not mistaking your nic is male as the females have a clear tail fin with no flecking and the males have a flecked tail.

Yes Andrew always on the look out for something new. I really like the uaru so maybe one of those.
