No expert but judging by the red edge on the fish in the photo , I would reckon its a male . They are beautiful fish and a great match with what you have . Getting more jealous with every fish you get

Thanks alot mate. They are all still fairly young so hopefully growing them on together the aggression will be less but as you know with cichlids it can all change in a minute.

Lee got myself what I hope is a pair of Nics , they are about 3 inches , with the male? a little bigger and showing good colours .Put them into a tank with 3 gold severum and 4 firemouth rams .Settled in well and feeding within 2 mins of introducing . Tried again to put vid of my last pair on youtube but obviously doing somit wrong

Nice one mate they are stunning fish but i found my female very aggressive so had to move her on. You probably know from keeping them they can be headbangers. Best of luck with them and cant wait to see some pics
