Re: Golden Nugget
There are a few types.. L081 stay smaller 6-7" odd than L177 the Queen Nuggets that will reach 14" odd.. i ordered a full box few years ago 28 in total.... they didnt have any so sent me 2 10+" monsters.... they were stunning..i was annoyed at 1st as i didnt think they would sell.... but they did

Re: Golden Nugget
Only got one Brendan. GT
Actually not to worried about the size of the nugget cause it can be transfered into the bigger tank when he or should I say she out grows the one they are all going into

Re: Golden Nugget
Nice one, they are stunning plecs. Great article about them on planetcatfish, they are a very specialist feeder which is why they don't often grow (at all) in captivity..
@Drew do you remember the amount of time you were looking for a queen golden nugget for me? Then you got one and when I got there to collect it someone had sold it. Got one afterwards though, for the bargain price of 20 Euro...

Very difficult i would imagine kelly but in the pictures above it looks like serratus is spot on. There markings change slightly from juvenile to adult so unless comparing specimens of equal size this method is flawed Iv sent you a pm with a burst of info on these guys kelly. It is mad all the same 1 latin name , 4 l numbers and 3 plecs to share them all

Totally agree Paul A lot of them have 2 Lnos because they catch Juvs n adults and they look dif but theyre the exact same fish!!!! the Lnos is a "code" given before they are scientifically explained!!! Also some are the same fish just dif localities!!!! Its a mess to say the least.... and then you get certain literature getting names mixed up/misidentified!!!!
