Got some new plecos today

Went out today to get some extra bog wood for the new Royal Panaque and caame back with a male Scarlet Pleco and male L52 Butterfly Pleco. I shouldn't be allowed out over the door Now looking females for them now

It could be a scarey list by the time I'm finished Just need to try and get them all paired up now

It's good to have another interest, I was getting a bit bored with the Malawi's again, but with the new interest in the pleco's it will give me a break from the Malawi's so I get the love back

What size is the scarlet? i should have them in the next month or so

He would be just over 3" By next month does that mean for the meeting you will notice I don't have any patience

Kellys the sort of person who always nags for pics and then keeps everyone waiting for her own pics!

When I slow down and actually have time for myself instead of everyone else, horses and fish and get breakfast before 6pm then I get time to upload pics

Im not sure Kelly.. we have Singapore,Israel,Colombia and Indonesia planned for the opening... thats gonna be 120+ boxes.... 80,000 odd fish.... not enough ....

How did they sex a 3" scarlet? males get hairy cheeks and are thinner but wouldnt be easy on such a small fish..... also they are very aggressive so watch out will "whip" other bottom dwellers....

The guy who I get to sexed them that's all he deals with the pleco's When it gets a bit bigger then it'll go into the big tank before they start attacking the smaller species. Have them all housed in one tank at the minute till I move fish for the Dublin trip and that'll free me up another tank.

Ok cool, so has it hairy cheeks at that size? guess you could tell if its thinner than the rest.....ah yeh he should be ok for a while but they have some tail on them be careful netting him too.... best to us a tub with holes in it or a pond planting basket

You should have 20-30 odd species of plecs to choose from sized 5cm up to 55cm ... plus all the other species

Didn't really notice the cheeks to be honest, he puts them into a tub and sexes them from above sure if it's not right i'll not panick just liked the look of them

Ha no prob. im not doubting he did.. mature females are plumper..as in most catfish best seen from above... i just looked at the GT website and they have scarlets down as L114... i myself would call that a leopard cactus plec and a L025 would be a scarlet to me...... this might explain sexing a L114
Just make sure you know which one it is as L114 (8") dont get anywhere near the size of scarlets L025 (18").... welcome once again to the confusing world of Lnos

Haven't had a chance yet, gonna stick the feet up and have a beer and get a look through them tonight as it's the only day this week unfortunately I'll probably get a chance to do a bit of research. Looking forward to getting those lists more orders to come through pm's then
