yep Davey roll on the 3 foot gar,slows down a bit then.got plans for when it gets bigger than that 
the gar is gettin a bit excitable at feeding time now,comes charging at my hand fed offerings snapping away,its got quite big teeth already,bit scarey,enjoying immencly

the ali gar bit over 18" now,gettin quite thick.need to watch it at feedin time will lunge very quickly at suspected food,nearly got me a few times

What an amazing growth rate, I remember it the day you got it.. How is it aggression-wise with other fish?

only had him in with the florida gars until it was about 8" Patrick and behaved then.hes in the bath now with just a clarias gariepinus thats bout 7" and hides in a pipe most of the time,but the gar hasnt shown any interest when the cat has been out.i have part of the main tank partioned of with the pbass and giant gouramys in there,was thinkin of puttin the ali gar in there.but he has plenty of room in the bath at the mo.any new fish lately Patrick?

No major additions Brian, a couple of big Kelberi to bring my group to 4 and some lamprologus lemairii (a cool toothy tanganyikan that gets to about 10 inches).
