how about gangnam style?
On the other side, beautiful plecs, you would need to take a loan out to get another few . They will look the bees knees when fully grown. Plus plecos seem to live forever

Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
These are pure stunners kelly Price went up the past few years as they are on the endangered species list, witch means only tank bred species are floating around today. They are known to be very tough to spawn, It takes a good 4 to 5 years before they are sexually mature and have been banned from being exported. They are also restricted to a very small location in the wild and a pain to keep. All of this contributes to the high price. Kelly these really are beautiful plecs I would definitely try integrate at least one into a show tank? A expensive risk but holly crap would it look sweet

Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
There is still wilds coming in through back doors unfortunately at the minute, just missed out on a pair last month. The dam they are building doesn't help the survival of these species either.
Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
I dont know kelly i wouldn't trust them, fair enough if someone had a pair before the laws came in. They would have to be caught and sold illegally, i just cant imagine a big or small commercial business risking there lively hood for a small catfish. Sure it would be impossible for them to have proof, at least with other species if its true you can trace it back. Ye know yourself, some people will say they are wild to make more money or have people believe they have something special Just my thoughts, i wouldn't trust any of it

Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
Yeah know where your coming from, it's a highly respected business over the pond, wasn't really interested if they where wild or not just that they where adult pairs which are damn hard to get your hands on
Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
Like anything else illegal were there's a will there's a way, i just wouldn't bet a couple hundred quid on it. If there 150 odd captive bred id imagine they would ask twice that wild. Its easy to see why anyone would try pawn them off as wild. A Few years back it was thought these just didnt spawn in captivity, as thought of with most plecs and even some syno's. But over time as certain cats became more and more scarce, poeple put time, money effort and a whole lot more time into breeding them. And thanks to them people are doing it everywhere these days Still it would be a master achievement "to me" for anyone who has, or succeeds in breeding these. These days there really is a lot of info for breeding most cats. One site in particular people refer to is "planet catfish" but it really is out of date. So many species with the listings "No spawning in captivity recorded", and it couldn't be more far from the truth. Id love to see more cat freaks coming onto the forum breeding and sharing it with us. They really are and always will be some of the top fish in the world for me Looking forward to seeing these progress

Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
I knew a dude in Donegal that imported and sold wild south american fish and had a few wilds tryin to breed them and they are a very timid fish and wont breed easy. Just leave them be and it will happen especially if you have a few of them. Best of luck Kelly. Chill winston.

Re: Couple of my L046 Zebra Plecos
One thing I don't seem to have a problem with here is breeding any species of fish, not one has beaten me yet
Paul it would be fantastic for more members to come onboard with the plecos and other fishy species, think a bit of promotion is needed
